Pantoprazole Tablets
Pantoprazole tablets are a type of medication belonging to the class of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). Pantoprazole is used to treat conditions related to excess stomach acid production, such as:
Gastric Ulcers: Pantoprazole is prescribed to heal and prevent the recurrence of ulcers in the stomach (gastric ulcers) and the upper part of the small intestine (duodenal ulcers).
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): It’s also used to treat symptoms of GERD, such as heartburn and acid regurgitation. GERD occurs when stomach acid flows back into the esophagus, leading to irritation and discomfort.
Erosive Esophagitis: Pantoprazole is effective in treating erosive esophagitis, a condition characterized by inflammation and erosion of the esophagus due to stomach acid reflux.
