Amoxycillin and pot clavunate

Amoxicillin: Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Amoxicillin is effective against a wide range of bacteria and is commonly used to treat infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, ear infections, sinus infections, and skin infections, among others.

Potassium Clavulanate: Potassium clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It helps to extend the activity of amoxicillin by protecting it from being destroyed by certain bacteria that produce beta-lactamase enzymes. Beta-lactamase enzymes are produced by some bacteria to break down penicillin-type antibiotics like amoxicillin, rendering them ineffective. By inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes, potassium clavulanate helps to enhance the effectiveness of amoxicillin against a broader spectrum of bacteria.
